Club Petanque Caldas
Welcome to the 1st Annual Caldas Open!
Sat 25th/Sun 26th of April 2026
The Tournament will be held in the beautiful Parque Dom Carlos I in the heart of Caldas Da Rainha for two days of Petanque in the Park.
Schedule:
Each day’s registration will start at 8:45am
We’ll begin play at 9:30am SHARP!
We’ll break for lunch at 12:30 and start again at 2pm
The morning rounds will be “Timed matches” / We hope everybody will get at least 5 games
Information about the day:
- Cash prizes (Based on number of entrants)
- Bring a Picnic / We will invite a Burger Van to come join us!
- There are Two Cafes in the Parque
- There will be a secure Coat/Bag store
Simple Rules:
- 3 or 4 Round robin matches of 40 minutes + 1 End (in final end, Cochonnet cannot go dead – each match needs a clear winner)
- Nobody can progress, until BOTH Captains have handed in a score.
- Round Robin Games must start on the Referees whistle, a team that is late loses a point for every five minutes they are late.
- Round Robin Games – Strings are LIVE, over the string is out…
- Knock out games played to 13 un-timed, strings Dead, unless Cochonnet crosses to a second piste.

€15 per player (And add a substitute €15) – €30/45
Enter a team of Three Players for Sunday’s 26th Triples Contest
€15 per player (And add a substitute €15) – €45/60
